The work, by Civita Castellana’s Alessio Paternesi, is made of vitreous china, a ceramic mixture used by the local industry, which had never before been used for sculptures of such dimensions. The creation was made possible thanks to research carried out by technicians working for Ceramica Catalano and GSI Ceramica.

The sculpture, a symbol of the union between art and industry, is a tribute to the city and the ceramic tradition of Civita Castellana.
