This shrine, dedicated to St. Anne, one of the most important saints for the town’s population, is one of the most prominent among those erected along the streets and alleys of the old town centre. The shrine’s arch, is decorated externally with roses and winged cherubs made from glazed terracotta.
Made between the 1920s and 1930s, it is, according to some sources, the work of the ceramic artist Giulio Francesconi, who was active in Civita Castellana in those years.
