Day 1

Arrival in Tarquinia and accommodation at a facility in or near the historic centre. Guided tour inside the Museo della Ceramica d’Uso a Corneto – Museum of Ceramics in Corneto -, set up in the medieval Palazzo dei Priori. It houses three collections: the ceramics from the “butti” of the Palazzo dei Priori, the Cultrera collection and the S.T.A.S. contemporary ceramic art collection.

We continue with a visit inside Palazzo Bruschi Falgari to admire the ceramic panels by the great Chilean artist Roberto Sebastiàn Matta and with a tour through the streets of the historic centre to discover the ceramic works, such as the “Cocciales” and the rose window of the Church of San Giovanni Gerosolimitano, along with the workshops and art studios.

Free lunch and guided tour of the Museo Archeologico Nazionale – National Archaeological Museum – and the Necropolis, where the fascinating Etruscan world, thanks to which Tarquinia became a UNESCO site, is the protagonist.

Free dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel or other facility and transfer to Vulci Park for a site visit. The perimeter of the park winds along the Fiora River, which plunges into the beautiful Pellicone Lake, an obligatory stop on any nature trail and a true oasis of peace and relaxation.

Not far from the archaeological area, the Abbadia Castle with its spectacular Devil’s Bridge rises majestically.

Lunch followed by a walk in the park.
