Trevinano stands at the junction of three routes, heading respectively towards Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany, a location from which its name derives. This position also highlights the strategic importance the castle must have had in the Middle Ages. Today, the castle is owned by the Boncompagni-Ludovisi family, who inherited it from the last feudal lords of Trevinano, the Bourbon del Monte family.
In and around the village, there are three churches: the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Church of San Rocco and the Church of the Madonna della Quercia.
The lunette above the portal of the parish church is a ceramic work by Aquitaine artist Mario Vinci.
